Walnut Brownies
Ingredients
- 150g butter
- 200g dark chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 160g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 130g flour
- 15g cocoa powder
- 80g chopped walnuts
- 1 pinch of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Butter the sides and bottom of a (20 X 20 cm) baking pan. Line the pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate and butter over bain-marie or microwave.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar together, Stir in the vanilla extract. Then whisk in the chocolate mixture until well combined.
- Add the sifted flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and stir well to combine. Add the chopped walnuts and mix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle walnuts over the top.
- Bake for 25 to 30 min. Let the brownies cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.
