Rose-shaped rolls
Ingredients
For the dough
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups flour
For the filling ( you can use any filling of your choice )
- 200 g feta cheese
- Fresh parsley
Egg wash
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp milk
Directions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast with lukewarm milk and sugar. Let the yeast activate for 10 minutes.
- Add an egg, oil and mix. Add flour and knead until the dough is soft. Cover and leave the dough in warm place until doubled in size, for about 1 hour.
- Prepare the filling, mix cheese with finely chopped parsley.
- Divide the dough into 15-16 equal parts and start shaping the roses (see the video).
- Pre-heat the oven to 200C (400F). Place the prepared rolls in greased & floured muffin tin, and brush them with egg wash.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until tops are golden.Enjoy ! (^_^)
