Ingredients
Marinade :
- Chicken breast
- 1 natural yogurt (125g)
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
- Salt
Sauce :
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, finely grated
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 peeled and Crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- Chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
Directions
- Cut the chicken breast into cubes and put it in the marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Marinate at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight.
- Put the chicken in a baking dish, and place it in the oven to 200°C for 20-25 minutes.
- place a skillet pan over a medium heat, and add oil, onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes and sugar. Cover and simmer on a low heat for 10 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste and cilantro and cook until thickened. (you may need water depending on how much liquid the tomatoes give off).
- Add turmeric, garam masala and chili powder, cook for about 2 minutes. add chicken and sttiring then add the cream and stir through.
- Garnish with minced cilantro and serve with naan or / and Basmati rice.
