Rose-shaped rolls

Ingredients

For the dough

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour

For the filling ( you can use any filling of your choice )

  • 200 g feta cheese
  • Fresh parsley

Egg wash

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast with lukewarm milk and sugar. Let the yeast activate for 10 minutes.
  2. Add an egg, oil and mix. Add flour and knead until the dough is soft. Cover and leave the dough in warm place until doubled in size, for about 1 hour.
  3. Prepare the filling, mix cheese with finely chopped parsley.
  4. Divide the dough into 15-16 equal parts and start shaping the roses (see the video).
  5. Pre-heat the oven to 200C (400F). Place the prepared rolls in greased & floured muffin tin, and brush them with egg wash.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until tops are golden.Enjoy ! (^_^)
